When I do this it gets part way loaded up and freezes. Now that seems to work but sound is a real frustrating issue.

I have no errors just no sound. I have audii had so much problem with setting things up. My bios at present is set to the default.
There is sound coming out of the front plug ins on the CD and DVD but none coming out of the line out. As far as I know this normally would not happen, but boards are fragile and mi things could happen - I guess we will only know if you can get the sound to work.
